Panini Restaurant (Woodbridge, ON)

We have a Friday tradition to go out for lunch and today we went to Panini Restaurant.

I had the veal cutlet with grilled eggplant, mushroom, and cheese. It was yummy and juicy. The sandwich is pretty big so i was able to eat half of mine. Next time I will get spicy.

Best veal sandwich shop in Woodbridge by far!

It is great to start a working day with a tray of lemon muffins on your desk. I love my co-workers!
More pictures to come...

All bran buds with Danactive and blackberries, coffee with milk and one cheese bread.

Lunch: Strattiatella and half of a portion of gnocchi with gorgonzola from Bocconccino Restaurant. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in Woodbridge.

Panini Restaurant

Today we went for lunch at Panini Restaurant in Woodbridge (http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restaurant_Review-g562671-d707676-Reviews-Panini_Restaurant-Woodbridge_Ontario.html). The veal sandwich was great as usually. The arancini on the other hand (huge) but not fantastic. Great place to go if you have someone to share with.
I have noticed that my appetite is decreasing more and more during the evening. I am very happy!

Breakfast: Spinach salad with strawberries, goat cheese, candied pecans, and poppy seeds. A brazil nut and coffee with milk (please ignore the omelet in the picture, I could not eat it)

Snack: An apple and baby carrots ( not in the pictures )

Lunch: I really misbehaved on this one. 1/3 of an arancini and 1/2 of veal scaloppina sandwich with cheese and mushrooms.

Dinner: DanActive with all bran buds

Chocolate & Pastry Boutique and Sofra Istanbul

I think I made some good and some not so great choices along the day. Feel free to judge!

I started craving for a cake at 11AM so I decided to find a pastry shop in Woodbridge. I found a bunch of shops but they cater to weddings and large parties. After driving for a little while I gave up on the cake thing and decided to get pastries for myself and my co-workers from a store called Chocolate & Pastry Boutique (http://www.chocolatepastry.com/). It was pretty good! I would definitely go back for more dama cookies in the future.

Breakfast: Spinach salad with tuna and a boiled egg. A Brazil nut, and coffee with milk

Lunch: A bowl of Daal

Snack: Two poppers

Treats: Two pastries and a latte. Pastries were delicious!

Dinner: Salad, slices of special Konya pide(Ground beef with onions, herbs and spices, feta cheese crumbled on top), lahmajun (Made on thin crust dough without any sauce with fresh ingredients. ground beef blended with pepper, onions, garlic, fresh tomatoes, parsley and herbs on thin dough.), and veggie eggplant chopped and mixed with peppers, garlic and fresh mint, pomegranate juice, as dessert I had a spoon of baklava ice cream cake....and Reposato wine. I am definitely using Valentine’s Day as an excuse for indulging in Turkish fare

Bocconccino

Somehow eating was not one of my priorities today, and I am definitely blaming on last night’s dinner. I was not hungry this morning when I work up but I forced myself to have breakfast. I had kiwi, pineapple, plain yogurt, and all bran buds, a brazil nut, coffee with milk, and a few Brazilian shortbread cookies.

We celebrated one of my co-workers birthday at Bocconccino (http://bocconcino.ca/). Their food is very good and the place is quite nice for Woodbridge. I had a stracciatella soup, and half of their homemade gnocchi dish. I love the idea of sharing dishes because it allows me to try more dishes without feeling too guilty. The gorgonzola sauce was light and tasty.

My dinner plans with my girlfriends got postponed because of the lovely weather. Luckily I had saved half of my main from last night and I had it for dinner. I complemented it with a side of black and red quinoa with shrimp and lime juice, and two tiny empanadas.

Bodega & Giorgio D

What a great eating day!

Yucca with cheese and sopressatta. Yogurt with raspberries with all bran buds. Coffee with milk, and a brazil nut.

We were celebrating a friend's birthday at Giorgio D, an Italian restaurant in Woodbridge (http://www.giorgiod.com). I shared an insalata mista and veal tenderloin marsala with mushroom with one of mine girlfriends. I had an espresso with a tiny biscotti and a bite of tiramissu.

Dinner was even better. I went to Bodega (http://wx.toronto.ca/inter/se/restaurants.nsf/Winterlicious/9A54046AF6E4786A8525739B0070BFD6?OpenDocument) with my friends for a winterlicious night. I have to confess that I overindulged. Delphi Bleu Veal Sweetbread Ravioli with Foie gras butter and Morel mushroom sauce as an appetizer. Braised Ontario Lamb Shank garlic Yukon mashed potato, seasonal vegetables with a rosemary, prune & cranberry sauce as a main, and White Chocolate and Raspberry Crème Brulée. Yes, this is the second Crème Brulée I had this month but it was nothing compared Marben. The lamb on the other hand was delicious. Juicy and flavourful.
