I had a small Greek salad with chicken shawarma. It was delicious! The feta was melting in my mouth, the chicken was made to perfection. The staff is friendly so I am getting the impression that I will be up for royal treatment when I go to Istanbul at the end of March.
I wish I could meet with some Turkish nationals who can give me pointers on where to eat in Istanbul and get some good lokum. I so want to avoid the tourist traps! I just want to eat like a local. Anyone one out there that either lives in Istanbul or knows that city well that can help me out on this?
