No headaches, no dizziness, and no signs of starvation

Today was a happy day! My body is finally adjusting to the diet. I have been following my GP instructions (eating healthy snacks very often and eating smaller meals). The result? No headaches, no dizziness, and no signs of starvation. Plus, I was back to the ice again and it was so fun. I cannot wait to skate again tomorrow during my lunch time.

Strangely, according to the calorie count app, I had more than double of the required amount of fibre and iron. For the iron part it should be easy. I should take supplements only by the end of the day if I see that the required amount was not reached. I just don't know what to do about the fibre.... maybe save some of the all bran buds to the end of the day?

Honestly, I badly ate today. All started at breakfast. I broke the cup of the coffee maker, and that said, I could not have coffee at home. That by itself generated another problem, I could not eat much without coffee so my only option for breakfast was berries with yogurt and all bran buds, and a brazil nut.

I snacked on all bran buds, a fat free DanActive, half of a pear, a cereal bar, a camomile tea, a cucumber with humus, and coffee with milk. Lots of great options!

Lunch was delicious. Salmon fillet with caramelized brussels sprouts. This was the most delicious salmon I ever had.

Dinner was a small portion of miso soup with mushrooms, carrots, and two huge shrimp dumplings.

I found a good tip today. I will try it tomorrow! Let's see if it will work: Eat hot peppers for breakfast.

"When you eat spicy foods for breakfast, it reduces your appetite at lunch," says Dr. Oz. It's thought that spicy peppers (habanero, poblano, even red pepper sauce or red pepper flakes) affect the satiety center in your brain so you're not as hungry later on. "It's a big, robust taste that's satiating," Meal suggestion: Slice hot red peppers into an omelet, or include them in a breakfast wrap.

Aftermath of 01/14/13:

896 Calories
80 Minutes of ice skating
8 hours of sleep
5 glasses of water

Cheers,
Fernanda
